Incredible experience! This was my first time here and the food and service was great! Highly recommend checking this place out when you are on the island! Pictured: Artichoke Dip, Caesar Salad and the Original Wing Zings with sweet BBQ sauce. 10 out of 10.
Great old school neighborhood Italian restaurant. Upscale food, but not "fancy" by any means. Lots of wood paneling and mirrors-looks right out of 1976. If you want a big ol'steak done just right, or standard Italian American pasta, then this is the place. Heavy wine pours, big martinis. Fresh bread, old school hoss's style salad complete with pickled beet slice. No hipster stuff here, no crazy fancy sauces-just good neighborhood food and very friendly fast service. Surprising amount of seafood-this place cooks shrimp better than most in particular. Think savory; butter, cheese, red pepper, mushroom, garlic. I go there every time I'm in Wheeling. Very affordable for what you get and very cozy. I usually get the shrimp stuffed NY Strip. You will leave full, happy, and with minimal damage to your wallet. What more could a guy ask for?
Had soup and the white fish... Delicious!! Staff was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. I will stop here again for a meal and a drink!!!
Our favorite foods at Abbey's are many.Today is the first time we tried their chile. It was just right spicy,with the added sweet corn giving another layer of texture.Very good! Service is ALWAYS EXCEPTIONAL!!! LOVE THE LOW KEY FAMILY FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE...passed from generation to generation to generation...
We were on a mini-moon after we got married a couple weeks ago and just wanted a drink. So glad we stopped in this gem. Welcoming atmosphere and to give their well wishes on our marriage, we got complementary drinks. We'll definitely be back when we visit Wheeling again. Thank you!
Found this place while traveling to go see lights . The service was good and the food was great . For a non chain restaurant I would highly recommend checking it out. I had the wings with there hot sauce its very good . And the prices are very fair
Amazing food, service and drinks. When we came in there was a 15 minute wait but two seats were available at the bar. So glad we made that choice. The bartender was eager to please and friendly. He even let us try a couple things including one of their mussels and a speciality cocktail. His service paid off because I ended up ordering the cocktail and my husband said he would be back again and order the mussels. Turns out we found out why our bartender was so impressive....he is the owner but he was the working his tail off with his employees, impressive!
Our first time here and we were so impressed! Quick service, friendly staff, and delicious food with big portions! I got the chicken alfredo, and I could tell that it was homemade. We will 100% be back!
This was our 1st time here. We got there as they opened on Valentine's Day. We got a seat with very little wait. They were BUSY, but we were greated in less than 5 minutes and she brought out drinks, appetizer, and food very quickly. Our drinks never went below half a cup. She check on us frequently and cleared our plates as we were done with them. We'll definitely be back.
Phenomenal food and even better service! Stopped in for a holiday dinner with the family. MAKE RESERVATIONS if possible! Large menu with plenty of options. Most of us got the porterhouse special and it was off the charts! 10/10 would recommend, cooked to perfection. Our waitress Lexi was amazing, very friendly and kept our drinks full. It’s hard to get a good waitress like her nowadays, very friendly and hard working. Everyone in the building was friendly and out going.
